To set up your email account on an Apple iOS device (iPhone or iPad) follow the steps below. You will need the Apple iOS device to have a network connection, ideally WiFi, for it to connect to the server to verify the settings (and to start synchronising).

1. Open the Apple iOS device Settings, then Apps, scrol down and tap on Mail and then tap Mail Accounts and finally select ‘Add account’.

2. Either type in your email address or select the account type as Other and select Add Other Account, 'Mail Account'.

3. Enter your Name, Email Address and your email password, and a description for the account like your email address.

4. On the next page, choose IMAP and enter the details as following:

Name: (your name, set on the previous screen)
Address: (full email address, set on the previous screen)
Description: (anything you like, set on the previous screen)

Incoming Mail Server
Hostname: mail.yourdomainname i.e. if your email address was mark@mydomain.com you would enter mail.mydomain.com as the Hostname
Username: (your email address)
Password: (your email password)

Outgoing Mail Server
Hostname: mail.yourdomainname i.e. if your email address was mark@mydomain.com you would enter mail.mydomain.com as the Hostname
Username: (your email address)
Password: (your email password)

5. Hit the 'Next' button in the top-right corner to continue, the device will verify before continuing.

6. On final page, select what you want to sync (Mail/Notes), then hit 'Save' in the top-right corner to finish.

You have successfully added your email account to an Apple iOS device and you will notice emails starting to arrive in the mail app within a few minutes.

If you experience any issues, please make sure the Apple iOS device has a working Internet connection (use the browser to check) and check there are no spaces before or after any of the settings entered above.
